After 2 years of inactivity, I decided to get behind the trigger again for the USPSA winter league, hosted by South East Idaho Practical Shooters, Inc. in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The winter league was held every Friday from December to February with 9 weeks total. I believe I competed in 5 or 6 of these matches. I filmed 3 of them using the GoPro Christy gifted to me for my birthday.
Winter is very cold in Idaho. Many of the matches were held in sub-zero weather and I found that my reaction times suffered because of the frigid temperatures. However, I had a hell of a time. It’s very interesting to learn just how tough it is to shoot accurately and rapidly when you cannot feel your fingers. When you compare my previous indoor matches to these ones, you can clearly see that my reaction times are slower. Nonetheless, I still think I did alright even after taking almost 2 years off from competing.
Here are the 3 videos I made during 3 of the matches I participated in. Don’t judge me if you weren’t there competing.
